Strike begins at Metro distribution centre

An indefinite strike, involving 550 workers, began at 9 a.m. on Monday at Metro’s fruit and vegetable distribution centre in Laval, as well as at its head office. The centre supplies some 1,000 Metro Group stores across Quebec.

SAQ reports net income of $525.2 million

For the third quarter of its 2025-2026 fiscal year, the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) reported net income of $525.2 million, an $11.1 million or 2.2 per cent increase from the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
